About Alie
Alie is a twenty-something law student living in New York City (setting of the 2004 Olsen twins classic, New York Minute). She used to be a consultant living in Boston and this blog used to be about her work wardrobe. After graduating from a small liberal arts college, moving to Boston, and joining the work force, a lot about Alie's life had to change, not the least of which was her wardrobe. Alie was forced to relegate her college uniform (vintage crop tops clad with iron-on zebra patches) to weekend wear and find some work appropriate garb. This blog used to document Alie's efforts to look pulled together and even somewhat fashionable while navigating a confusing office dress code and an unwavering desire for clothes to be as loose as possible. But as Alie’s life transitions, so must her blog (Must it? Like, maybe she should've just stopped the blog. She definitely thought about it. Pretty seriously. But then her adoring fan cried out for more and Alie needed a break from her Torts reading, so here we are. You definitely don’t need to be here. We can catch up later. Either way, let me know. I'd definitely be down to hang.)
Alie’s a student again and she’s living in New York, one of the most fashionable cities in the world (and the setting of the 2004 Olsen twins class, New York Minute). This blog will continue to document Alie’s attempts to balance fashion, appropriateness, and bagginess in this new, challenging setting (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fk7IHMhW9b4). Will she finally buy a structured top? Can she figure out which school-related events require "business casual"? Are iron-on zebra patches on trend? What should Alie actually wear in this semi-professional, semi-academic, semi-legal world?
Your guess is as good as mine.
When she’s not reading/carrying heavy textbooks, Alie enjoys doing crosswords, seeing adorable dogs, performing improv comedy, and drinking coffee.
